Artist Program Overview

The Bush Artist Program creates opportunities for artists to advance their work, stimulate dialogue and contribute to deeper community engagement by providing them financial and professional development support.

The Program consists of three grant initiatives:

Designed to strengthen the work of regional artists and foster their artistic careers. Artists receive unrestricted funds, professional development activities and additional support to develop and execute a communications strategy. { LEARN MORE }

A new initiative designed to propel the artistic investigations of mature artists and to encourage their continued influence on present and future generations of artists, audiences and the artists’ field of work.

Designed in collaboration with Dakota-based artists to support new ideas and directions for specific projects and nurture their creative lives. Artists receive project grants and participate in professional development retreats.
