Applicants to the Bush Foundation’s 2009 Bush Artist Fellowships will be able to submit online applications for the first time, beginning October 1.
{ READ MORE }National panelists consider your past endeavors and current work, the impact a Bush Artist Fellowship may have on your life work and future directions, and the difference you may make in the region as a result of the fellowship.
The panels are composed primarily of working artists and some arts professionals such as curators, editors and critics. New panelists are named each year; none are residents of our funding region. The names of the panelists are announced after the selections are complete. Names of all former panelists are listed on this site. { VIEW }
Separate preliminary panels are convened for each category to review application materials and select finalists. If the number of applications in any category seems excessive, applications may be pre-screened by current or past panelists. All applicants will be notified of their status by letter after the preliminary panels meet, and finalists will be publicly announced in March 2009. Please do not call with questions regarding status prior to receiving your letter.
Final selection of fellows is made by an inter-disciplinary panel composed of one member from each preliminary panel. All finalists will be notified of the results by mail by May 2009.
