Matt Rasmussen

Matt Rasmussen (Robbinsdale, MN) is originally from International Falls, Minnesota. He received his BA from Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota, and his MFA from Emerson College in Boston. Rasmussen was a Peace Corps volunteer in Papua, New Guinea from 1999 to 2001. He currently teaches at Gustavus Adolphus College. His poetry has been published or is forthcoming in Gulf Coast, Cimarron Review, Mid American Review, MARGIE, Redivider, New York Quarterly, Natural Bridge, Dislocate and LIT among others. He has received awards from the Jerome Foundation, SASE, The Loft and The Anderson Center in Red Wing, Minnesota. Rasmussen’s chapbook, Fingergun, was published by Kitchen Press in 2006.
