Healthy Kids—Healthy Communities
Current and past Fellows are invited to attend this year’s gathering which will focus on the needs of children in our communities.
The primary purpose of the Bush Medical Fellows Program is to improve health care delivery in the community. Communities can benefit from their provider’s fellowship in several ways:
When designing a program of study, fellowship applicants are asked to match their professional needs with the needs of the community.
Because the individual needs and interests of each physician vary, the components and duration of each fellowship program of study require individual planning. Activities may include preceptorships, conferences, seminars, retreats, site visits, courses at medical schools or other academic institutions, university programs (other than residency programs), reading, writing, teaching or lecturing (or any combination of these activities).
Before applicants submit their applications, applicants should review their proposed program of study with representatives of one or more of the institutions at which they wish to study. Bush Medical Fellows Program staff are always available for consultation and preliminary review of programs of study.
Bush Medical Fellowship support ranges in duration from three to 12 months, depending on the needs of the applicant and the program of study.
